Practice 1.
Arrival &Grounding
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Take a comfortable seated position.
Feel the floor beneath your feet or your sit bones.
Notice the sense of being supported by the ground.
Lean back slightly and notice what supports you behind.
Sense the presence of ancestors, guides, or the support that came before you.
Bring attention to your breath.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly if that feels soothing.
Slowly roll your shoulders and gently move your neck.
Allow your body to stretch or move however it wants.
Take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes.

Reflect or journal on the following questions:
If I had unlimited courage, what would I be doing differently?
Which of my behaviors contradict my values?

Exercise
(Force vs Support)
Make a fist with your right hand.
With your left hand, try to force the fist open while resisting.
Notice your breath, tension, and emotions.
Now make the fist again.
Instead of forcing it open, gently support the fist with your other hand. Notice what changes in your body.
Reflection: What did you notice about the difference between force and support?

Notice where emotions appear in your body.

What happens when you allow that sensation to exist instead of pushing it away?

Coherence
Place your hand over your heart or bring awareness to your heart center. Imagine your mind dropping gently into your heart.
Visualize a green or gold light glowing in your heart.
Let that light spread through your chest, arms, and entire body.
Expand the light beyond your body into the room, city, and planet. Allow the universe to rest inside your heart.
